

The engine works alongside a six-speed transmission along with a slip-and-assist clutch. The motor produces 18.4PS at 10,000rpm and 0.2Nm more 14.1Nm at 7,500rpm, which is 0.1PS less and 0.2Nm more than its predecessor. It is enhanced with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) technology, ensuring a good balance of low-end grunt and top-end drive. The Yamaha MT-15 Version 2.0 continues to be powered by the same 155cc single-cylinder liquid cooled engine as before. Other notable features include LED headlight and tail lamp, side stand engine kill function, and slip-assist clutch. The bike also still makes do with the same single-channel ABS as before. Unfortunately, the bike misses out on turn-by-turn navigation, which is disappointing. Through the Yamaha Y-Connect smartphone app, you can access features including call, e-mail and SMS alerts, service reminders, last parked location, mileage, malfunction alerts, and post-ride stats.

The Yamaha MT-15 Version 2.0 comes equipped with a new LCD instrument cluster and it also gets Bluetooth connectivity. It is available in two new colours namely Cyan Storm Racing Blue along with the original Fluo-Vermillion and Metallic Black.
